Happy Birthday Jase!

Our little Jase is now 4! Hard to believe! He got to have his first "friend" birthday party and invite all his little buddies--he was so excited! He loves the movie "Cars" so we had a racecar theme. It was a nice change for me as I was starting to feel like I'd been planning princess parties for the girls since the beginning of time!!

We made racecars out of cardboard boxes and the kids got to have a little drive-in movie in the living room. They watched the last 20 min. of "Cars" and they loved it! I was so surprised that they stayed in their cars the whole time and ate popcorn--I thought they'd be out and running around after a few minutes.

Jase is now the proud owner of his own two-wheeler bike! (We have to practically drag him off of it each night--he'd ride it into the wee hours if we'd let him!)

A "Cars" cake--what else?

Besides cars, superheroes are Jase's other love. Showing off his new Spiderman costume (love those muscles!).

Here's the superhero in action practicing casting with his new fishing pole! We sure love our little guy!

Take me out to the ball game...

We had fun meeting the team mascot at last night's Owlz game! Afterward, Jase leaned over to Ethan and whispered, "I don't think that was a real owl, Dad, just a man in a owl costume--because real owls don't have baseball heads!"
You have to get up pretty early in the morning to pull one over on this kid :)

It's Growing!!!

After two years of planting gardens that were dismal failures, we're so excited this year to see little plants poking their heads out! I just had to share!

It feels like Summer...at last!

Today has been so warm and nice, we decided to pull out the wading pool and go for a swim.

Halfway down the slide, Jase started rethinking going in the cold water! So he just sat there and thought about it for a minute.

Splashdown!!

We hope Summer is here to stay!

School Carnival!

We had fun at Emily's school's carnival last Friday. There were game booths and small rides--even a "School Idol" competiton, which was hilarious! The kids especially loved that the rides were kid-sized so they could go all by themselves while Mom just watched from the sidelines! These were their favorites:

Vacation!!!

Below are a few slideshows from our recent trip to California. Ethan and I had a blast taking the kids on their first airplane ride, for their first look at the ocean, and their first time at Disneyland! We were lucky to have Gma. & Gpa. Jolley travel with us which made the trip extra special! Grammie & Aunt Melanie even flew out for the day to join us at the beach! A magical time was had by all...enjoy the photos!!
